i enjoy coming from the back of the field, and when we slowed down it was totally off the racing line, and no accidents were caused.
and the 90% contact thing, it was only occasionally a slight touch on OUR side of my car when we overtook, because people didnt see us coming (or did see us but turned in regardless). i have many replays of overtakes from a long way back, some see it coming and leave a gap, others turn in, make slight contact on my car then get overtaken by the driver behind me aswell.
i am not arguing with anyone here, i am just making a point so dont start cussing me please
PS i dont have a sorry key mapped and because i use mouse i have to let off the gas to type sorry
i dont like being reffered to as a kid, and karting is not a amater 'league'
this is a video from the final super 1 round held at shenington, i am the driver in the yellow helmet http://one.revver.com/watch/425756
as you can see, karting at national level is very hard but clean, and u have to think very fast.
myself and alan would just like to see races like this in LFS
the point is tho, an agressive driver doesnt have u off the track every few laps, if anything they are more predictable than the 'clean' ones.
i treat every1 as agressive until they prove me otherwise. then i can start to stick on the outside or drive through chicanes side by side, stuff that wouldnt happen (normally) in real life
theres a difference between agression and plain firing/binning/wrecking
u care about the realism of somebody who isnt wearing racing clothes and yet u dont mind when the manner in which u race and what u think is acceptable and isnt is TOTALLY unrealistic!!!!
by the way i do agree, the clothes model is very unrealistic. i myself drive nude in real life.
AJP weaving is not acceptable ATALL and is frowned upon alot more than binning someone!! one of my m8s was called into the clerk of the course for firing someone, once my m8 had explained to the CoC that the guy he fired was weaving, he was let off the hook.
PS we arent talking about toy go-carts, have a look at this vid of me testing last week and see the kind of speeds they hit! so any bad driving is actually DANGEROUS http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FlY0R7B752c
weaving is dangerous
and also, i think me and u have a different understanding of the word 'firing' to me, it means to push sum1 wide and pass by nudging them. u and they continue with 0 damage. wrecking is t boning sum1 with no brakes and u both go out of the race, i would never do that (and only once or twice have done, years ago)
i love overtaking, i have got loads of replays of overtakin n all that, and to me a race is a RACE, not a series of hotlaps (like 99% of people believe) the only time when i will push sum1 wide is if i believe they would take me out if i passed them properly!!
doesnt matter anyway, its not like im ever gunna lap u, and even if i did i would know u are sensible enuf not to do anything silly.
i remember racing u a fair bit and we had some hot races, so u know i dont fire people for a laugh!
schumi and senna may have been 'dirty' at times but at the end of the day, they are just professionals trying to achieve the best results they can. soldiers kill each other as a profession, F1 racing drivers screw each others races up!
its hard to explain, but the way the FOX reacts, turns in etc is very similar to a kart, the way it turns in, grips and slides. i just get the same 'feel' from it.
the MRT is not very similar to a kart because it isnt progressive enough, you are on the limit then you just lose it, where as the FOX is quite predictable around the limit.
